在看這部劇的時(shí)候正直美國大選開(kāi)票，川普在美帝人民的震驚、咒罵、絕望中成功登頂白宮寶座。我院的一位教授說(shuō):“We are witnessing the history”。是啊，我們正在見(jiàn)證歷史，2016年注定會(huì )是不平凡的一年，美劇《我們愛(ài)撕逼》已經(jīng)落幕，韓劇《我和我的閨蜜》還在上演。當我閱讀歷史的時(shí)候，總會(huì )感到自身的渺小。當時(shí)間回到二戰剛剛結束的20世紀40年代后期，你會(huì )發(fā)現這是一段波云詭譎的傳奇歲月，縱使是高貴優(yōu)雅的英國王室也不可阻擋時(shí)代的大潮。

英國王室不像中國古代的皇室權力滔天，在君主立憲制的制度下，英國王室受到了來(lái)自議會(huì )、教會(huì )、人民的各種約束。王室不是為所欲為的代名詞，而是榮譽(yù)、高貴和純潔的象征，他們承載著(zhù)國民的希望與幻想，他們必須完美無(wú)瑕。但他們也是人，也有人性，這一頂王冠更像一把鐐銬禁錮著(zhù)他們，這就是所謂的“欲戴王冠，必承其重”吧！就像伊麗莎白的祖母給她的信中所說(shuō)的：

最親愛(ài)的莉莉貝特：

我知道你深?lèi)?ài)著(zhù)你的父親，

本劇的開(kāi)場(chǎng)是喬治六世為伊麗莎白公主的未婚夫菲利普王子授勛儀式。菲利普王子是希臘國王喬治一世的孫子，也是希臘的王儲之一，由于伊麗莎白公主是英國王室的準繼承人，為了確保她未來(lái)繼承王位后不會(huì )再繼任另一個(gè)國家，所以菲利普王子必須放棄希臘王位繼承權才能與伊麗莎白公主結婚，但在菲利普王子這個(gè)頭銜之前他沒(méi)有其他頭銜，只是一名海軍上尉，于是喬治六世冊封他為愛(ài)丁堡公爵，以便他能迎娶伊麗莎白公主。這樁婚事除了這個(gè)波折之外也并非一帆風(fēng)順，比如菲利普不忠的流言，以及伊麗莎白祖母和父母對菲利普四個(gè)姐姐都是德國籍王妃的猜忌。

1947年11月20日，菲利普與其表妹伊麗莎白結婚，兩人都是“歐洲的祖母”維多利亞女王的玄孫。在伊麗莎白繼承王位后，他的頭銜并不是女王的Husband而是：菲利普親王殿下，愛(ài)丁堡公爵，梅里奧尼斯伯爵，格林威治男爵，最高貴嘉德勛章的皇家騎士，最古老和最高貴薊花勛章騎士，大英帝國勛章的高貴主人和首席騎士，功績(jì)勛章成員，澳大利亞勛章伴隨，女王服務(wù)勛章額外伴隨，天堂鳥(niǎo)勛章的皇家首領(lǐng)，加拿大武裝力量獎?wù)?，女王陛下最尊敬的樞密院大臣，女王的加拿大樞密院大臣，女王陛下的私人侍從武官。很繞對不對。
 

第二集中公主瑪格麗特和國王合唱的那首歌叫Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered，出自1940年的音樂(lè )劇《好友喬伊》（Pal Joy），全文歌詞是：
