187分鐘的歌劇，很驚喜。
哲學(xué)家浮士德羨慕青年的活力與愛(ài)情，魔鬼讓他返老還童但需要他出賣(mài)靈魂，浮士德喝下魔鬼的毒藥后變成了英俊少年。魔鬼再施魔法，使浮士德騙得了少女Magarate的愛(ài)情，Magarate在懷孕并遭浮士德拋棄后精神失常誤殺兒子。。。后被上帝原諒升入天堂的故事。
歌劇僅僅選取了歌德原著(zhù)的一小部分，本片由2004年英國皇家歌劇院出品，探討善與惡，精神與欲望，理智與情感，劇情曲折深刻，每一個(gè)演員的演技都很到位，場(chǎng)面調度舞美燈光極美。
全劇宗教感十足，強烈的舞臺沖擊力，樂(lè )曲洋溢著(zhù)明朗的青春氣息，數次出現的芭蕾片段讓人驚喜，優(yōu)雅精巧，美不勝收。
